Battle of Ölper

Ölper, Braunschweig, Germany

Why it matters

It ended in a draw, but the Brunswickers avoided being trapped and kept marching north.

They reached the coast and were shipped to Britain, then fought under Wellington in Spain. Napoleon dismissed Reubell.
