Battle of Condore

What happened
Forde's British and Indian troops attacked a French force of similar size near Masulipatam. The British won and captured all the French baggage and artillery.
Why it matters
The victory let the British go on to besiege Masulipatam. It was part of the British and French struggle for power in India during the Seven Years' War.
What came next
Forde's forces stormed Masulipatam in 1759, and later that year he won the Battle of Chinsurah.
